To avoid Nigeria’s disunity, avert rigging in Anambra, APGA Forum urges Buhari
The National Coordinator APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to use his good office to ward off any electoral malpractice in the forthcoming Anambra gubernatorial election, noting that Nigeria’s’ unity would be questionable should the suspected APC syndicates alleged to have printed sensitive INEC materials succeed in rigging election.
“I call on President Muhammadu Buhari to use his good office to nip this evil plot in the bud because failure to do so, his much cherished Nigeria unity will be destroyed”, he said.
Obigwe made the call in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday morning.
The National Coordinator APGA Media Warriors Forum equally alleged that the arrest of some suspected APC syndicates with printed INEC sensitive materials at Grace royal hotel Okpuno Awka was a glaring proof that Anambra APC has concluded their evil plot to rig the election.
His statement reads:
“I call on President Muhammadu Buhari to use his good office to nip this evil plot in the bud because failure to do so his much cherished Nigeria unity will be destroyed.
“APGA is like a religion in Anambra State, thus the reason why the people of the State are satisfied with Governor Willie Obiano’s good work in the State perhaps again the reason why they are supporting his merited second term re-election bid.
“The frequent visits of El- rufai, Rochas Okorocha and Orji Uzor Kalu, to Anambra state I believe have something to do with this rigging plot to favor Tony Nwoye.
“The people of Anambra State will ensure that no stone will be left unturned in checkmating and vehemently resisting APC rigging plot.
“This election will determine if Nigeria will remain one because no reasonable human being will like to be in a Country where the people’s democratic rights are trampled upon.
“I urge the people of the State to troop out en-mass to vote for Governor Obiano. Ensure you wait and see you vote counted in order to resist rigging of any sort.
“I am ashamed of Tony Nwoye’s plan to use Federal might to subvert the democratic will of the Ndi Anambra.
“But I have nothing to worry because Anambra electorates will shame him and his fellow riggers by ensuring that the right thing is done on November 18th.”
