The feeling of gratitude is the key to abounding in every good thing in life. Gratitude is your access route to the path of increase. Until you count your blessings, you cut the flow of your blessings. Gratitude is the feeling of thankfulness and appreciation. Gratitude goes beyond the verbal expression of thankfulness to the feelings conveyed. Gratitude begins with focused thoughts on thankfulness for all your blessings and the positive things of life. As you concentrate on your blessings and the positive things of life, your feelings become flooded with gratitude and as your feelings are immersed with gratitude it attracts more of such like blessings and positive people; events and condition of life. Gratitude can radically change every aspect of your life.

Gratitude is the outflow of thankfulness from the inflow of appreciation of your blessings. We tend to forget the benefits we’ve enjoyed in life when we take our blessings for granted by focusing on our troubles. When you focus on your troubles, you will find travail. Until you live a life of gratitude your life will be grounded. When you take things for granted your life sticks with the label “complainer” which makes your life sink in negativity.

As we awake each morning we should say “thank you God for the gift of life”. Let our hearts overflow with gratitude for the air we breathe. Let’s thank God that despite our mistakes and follies He still loves us perfectly and forgives us and has not rewarded us according to our misdoings and misgivings. We must thank God for the gift of health; thank God for your heart; kidneys; eyes; mouth and indeed every part of your amazing body. Flood your heart with gratitude by focusing on God’s protection and preservation. Be full of thanks for His favors and goodness.

Develop a lifestyle of gratitude; before eating every meal give thanks; when someone offers you a service no matter how little, give thanks to the person; in every situation you encounter look for the good and give thanks. Let your heart overflow with thankfulness to the people that has made a difference in your life. Be thankful for your job; finances; relationships; and the good things of life. We will never know the importance of a thing until we lose it. Never wait to lose your mind; health; house; family; job; relationships; or any part of the body before you become grateful for them. Focus on what you have rather on what you don’t have; focus on what you have left rather than on what you’ve lost. Becoming grateful even for the seemingly “little” things in life attracts great reward.

This is the catch: fill your day with thankfulness to both God and people; Flood your feelings with gratitude for all your blessings-past, present and future blessings and you will attract increased harvest of blessings.


Joy is an inner delight that manifest itself in a ready and a good belly laugh-ability to laugh deeply. According to Dr. Lee Berk, “Laughter boosts the immune system and reduces dangerous stress hormones in the body”25. Laughter can lower blood pressure. Smile habitually at people with every given opportunity and you will feel emotionally and physically at ease.

Happiness is found on external happenings or experiences. Joy is found in internal fulfillment or purpose. Happiness is bound to the gratification of the five senses; joy is rooted in the sixth sense-the spiritual self. Happiness is pleasure based; joy is purpose revealed. Joy is the reserve of those who are free from inner conflict and transitions to inner harmony. When you are in the state of joy you flow in the rhythm of life.

To be joyful you must live passionately. What are you passionate about? Go for it. Live with a sense of purpose. Discover the problem you were created to solve on earth; get busy being a solution to the lives of many. Don’t get entangled with the overwhelming activities of life that makes you lose sight of things that have eternal value. Get engaged in the simple and yet important things that are worthwhile and matter to your well-being and the well-being of others; things that synchronizes with your purpose and passion and you will be lifted with joy.

Become a dispenser of joy by creating happy conditions for others and the well-spring of joy within you will never run dry. The Gospel of Jesus Christ could be termed as Good news that incites joy. Read and study the teachings of Jesus, meditate on it and you will be filled with unspeakable joy.

Think joy————          thoughts are the crucible of life

Talk joy————–         words gives expression to your world

Believe in joy——-          Beliefs fashions your reality

Act joy—————         Actions create outcome

Give joy————-          what you get is determined by what you give.
