NDLEA arrests Police escort over vehicle conveying hemp
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says it has arrested a mobile police officer (name withheld) for allegedly escorting a vehicle loaded with 30 bags of substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
The Kogi State Commander of NDLEA, Mr. Idris Bello, who disclosed this yesterday, said the suspected substance was found in a Toyota Picnic car with number plates Kogi KNA 185 LG
Bello said although the driver of the said vehicle escaped arrest, officials of the agency were able to apprehend the mobile policeman.
He added that NDLEA had taken the policeman, the vehicle and the bags of substance into custody.
