He said government was insincere in implementing the terms agreed with PANDEF, regretting that the militants had lost confidence in the government and even in PANDEF and now spoiling for action.

Donyegha spoke this morning on Channels television morning programme, Sunrise.

“As I speak here, government has not implemented any of the things they promised the people.

The people are interested in action and not just talking. They are tired of seminars, workshops, conferences etc. They want action, ” he said.

Asked if destruction of oil facilities would not send the economy back to recession he said “it is government that is moving to send the economy back to recession by not doing what they are supposed to do.”

He appealed to the militants to exercise more patience but warned the government to be proactive in addressing the Niger Delta problems.
