Awka—THE United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, has set machinery in motion to provide human resources, health infrastructure and quality service development in Anambra State as part of its programme to improve the standard of life in the state.
UNICEF Health Specialist, Dr. Ifeyinwa Anayo, who spoke during a training programme on minimum services package for the state, explained that though the package had been existing at the national level, the world body decided to replicate it to the state to reach out to a larger population.
The training programme was a collaboration between Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, ASPHCDA, and UNICEF with the objective of improving the delivery services of primary health care centres in the 21 local government areas of the state.
