Socio-economic trends threaten faith – Cleric

THE Spiritual Leader/General Overseer of Christ’s Chosen Church of God International, Snr. Apostle Joshua Osasuyi, has called on Christians to wake up and be wise as the political, economic and social trends in the country were negatively affecting faith.
Speaking at the Church’s 10th international convention at its Central Cathedral Complex, Benin, on the theme Be Still and Know that I Am God, Dr. Osasuyi said now that the country is tottering and staggering, “it is time for us to maintain our focus on God and fully rely on his unfailing promises.”
He said the week-long convention, which will end on Monday, August 21, is an opportunity for Christians nationwide to embrace righteousness, charity and pray without ceasing to ensure victory for the Christian faith and the Nigerian project, noting that Nigerians should put the interests of others before self.
