Ozubulu people root for Nwoye, say APGA has outlived its relevance
By Chimaobi Nwaiwu
HUNDREDS of All Progressives Congress, APC, supporters, yesterday, gathered at Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State with a firm resolve to win the forthcoming governorship poll.
The APC supporters, who were led by Chief Kingsley Obuikwu and other stakeholders at Ozubulu ward 3, embarked on a sensitization mission at the rural communities in Ozubulu.
Speaking at the event, Obiukwu said: “Since the bane of the Nigerian society is corruption, supporting the APC whose leader, President Muhammadu Buhari is a highly disciplined person becomes of importance.
“When I see bill boards with the slogan, nke a bu nke anyi I laugh because I know it is a deceit. They are only after their pockets. Our government will begin when Nwoye is elected Governor of Anambra State. He will begin to go to Abuja to bring what is really ours.”
One of the special guests at the event, a Deputy Director at the Tony Nwoye Campaign Organization, Mr. Jude Onyeka, declared that Anambra State would only enjoy the dividends of democracy from the centre when the APC government took over in the State.
He said: “Anybody who understood the mechanism of politics should know that the best for any state is to get connected to a party that is in control at the national level and avoid political parties like the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, whose presence is only felt in one state. Nwoye is a grassroots man and a dogged fighter for the rights of the people.”
