Osun APC dismisses talk of PDP takeover

No Rating

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State has dismissed as wishful thinking, suggestions that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP could takeover the state after the forthcoming governorship election.

APC in a statement issued by Mr. Kunle Oyatomi, Director of Publicity and Strategy said that the PDP with the advantage of having control of the Federal Government could not edge out the APC from the state in the 2014 governorship election saying that it was near impossible to do so now that it had lost the Federal Government.

Oyatomi’s assertion followed claims by a PDP chieftain, Mr. Sarafa Tunji Ishola, who is championing reconciliation talks among PDP chieftains in the state that a united PDP could easily sack the APC from power in Osun State.

Rebuffing Ishola’s claims, Oyatomi said: ‘’The division within the PDP in Osun is skin-deep and multifaceted, and it’s entirely driven by the reckless ambition of one man against the run of affairs to become governor at all cost.”
