One dies in Ogun autocrash
ONE person died, Saturday, in Ayetoro, Ogun State following an autocrash involving a tanker laden with ethanol.
The victim, said to be the truck driver, was believed to have died on the spot. The accident occurred at about 9.25am at Ayetoro outbound Lagos although traffic gridlock was recorded on both axis of the road as a result of the incident.
It was gathered that the crash occurred due to over-speeding as the tanker with number plate AKD 650 XQ lost control, hit the road barrier before ramming into a Mazda bus with number plate BWR 515 XA travelling to Lagos.
Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) image maker,
Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the crash attributing it to reckless driving.
