Ezeemo unfolds plans for security, health, agriculture
By Vincent Ujumadu
- Mr. Godwin Ezeemo, the candidate of the Progressives Peoples’ Alliance, PPA, for the November 18, 2017 governorship election has unfolded his plans in the areas of security, health and agriculture if elected.
He told party supporters during a tour of some local government areas of the state that his government would build on the existing security infrastructure with a view to achieving a much better and safer environment for the people and their businesses to thrive.
He also said that he would upgrade the existing health institutions in the state to international standards, while farmers would be encouraged to grow more crops to ensure that Anambra State was self sufficient in food production.
He said: “The security infrastructure to be deployed will be built on the tripod of community policing, equipment provisioning to the Nigerian Police Force and Vigilantes, and prompt response to distress signals.
“Traditional rulers will be the chief security officers of their communities. But much more important is my belief that if the youths are engaged meaningfully in economically productive activity, the appetite for crime will be greatly reduced.”
