Ex-militant group hails Buhari, Boroh over N-Delta devt

A peace advocacy group, made up of leaders of Niger Delta ex-agitators, Leadership, Peace and Cultural Development Initiative, LPCDI, has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari and the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier-General Paul Boroh (retd), over proper funding of the programme and ongoing development in the region.
According to LPCDI, the ex-militant leaders from the nine states of the Niger Delta region, after a review of 2017 activities by the Federal Government, passed a vote of confidence in the President and the Amnesty Committee.
Mr Francis Wainwei, spokesman of the LPCDI,in a statement at the end of the annual review, said: “A vote of confidence was passed in President Buhari and Paul Boroh over their landmark efforts to bring about development to the Niger Delta region.
“The group particularly lauded Mr. President for the approval of the establishment of the Nigerian Maritime University at Okerenkoko in Delta State.”
