Breaking: Gunmen kill former HoS, two others in Plateau

Jos – Three people, including a former Head of Service in Plateau State, Mr. Moses Gwom were Tuesday night killed at Wereh village, Dorowa in Barkin Ladi local government area of the State.
Though the circumstance of the incident which took place at about 8pm was not ascertained at the time of this report, but Vanguard gathered that it was an attack by yet to be identified gunmen.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mathias Tyopev said, “Yes, there was an issue in Barkin Ladi. A former Head of Service was killed and others injured. It happened at about 8pm and investigation has commenced.”
Asked about the purported killing of a soldier in the said attack, the PPRO added, “I don’t want to comment on that as I don’t know much about that.”
However, the spokesman of Operation Safe Haven, Captain Adam Umar said, “I’m not aware of any incident for now. I’ll find out and get back to you.”
