BENIN CITY—THE Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association, IPMAN, Benin depot, Mr Douglas Iyike, has lamented what he described as the crisis ravaging the association in the Midwestern zone.

He however commended the Area Manager Warri office of the NNPC and the Benin Depot Manager for their neutrality in the crisis by ensuring that petroleum products are distributed to marketers individually.

In a statement signed by Mr Iyike, he regretted that someone is “constituting a parallel Executive of IPMAN to undermine the elected officers of the association which forced the NNPC to direct that petroleum products should be distributed directly to the markets as against the association as it used to be.

“We also want to debunk the alleged claim by one Mr Emuze who allegedly claimed to be the secretary of IPMAN Midwest zone. We want to state categorically that he is an impostor and should be disregarded by members of the public. And we have only six members in the BoT of IPMAN and Mr Ogbeide is not one of them.

“It is sad that we want IPMAN to move forward in Edo state but the confusion being created by these people is pushing the association backward and we must all put to an end these problems through dialogue rather than people claiming what they are not in IPMAN” it stated.
