Bayelsa to commission new sets of projects

YENAGOA—BAYELSA State Government has announced plans to commission another round of its completed projects spread across the state.

The planned commissioning is coming few weeks after former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd) and Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, visited the state to inaugurate some key projects, including the new Governor’s Office and the Ijaw National Academy.

A statement by the Secretary to State Government, David Serena-Dokubo Spiff, in Yenagoa, enjoined the public and all well-meaning Bayelsans to get ready for the epoch events.

According to him, the commissioning will take place as soon as Governor Seriake Dickson returns from his annual vacation abroad.

The SSG also said key personalities and very accomplished Nigerians will be called to perform the exercise.
